James R. Edmondson Sr.

James R. Edmondson Sr ., 68, Girardville passed away peacefully Saturday night at his home with his wife Joanne at his side.

Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Robert J and Helen Ross Edmondson. He had been employed as an exterminator for J C Ehrlich, Pottsville, for 38 years, until his retirement.

He was a 1967 graduate of North Schuylkill High School and was a US Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Anthony J. in 2016 and his sister-in-law Margaret " Peg " Edmondson.

James is survived by his wife of 31years Joanne Sherry Edmondson, Girardville; his son James R. Edmondson Jr. and his fiancé Melissa Foster, Hazleton; his brother Robert Edmondson, Pine Grove; his granddaughter, Kayla Edmondson, Lavelle and several nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
