Irene E. Bernathy

Irene E. Bernathy , 76, Gilberton, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Pete and Helen Pratcavage Klem. She was a member of the Word Family Church in Harwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother James Klem.

Irene is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Bernathy, Gilberton; her daughter Christina and her husband Patrick Cooney, Ashland; her son Joseph and his wife Connie Bernathy, Paxinos; two brothers: Peter Klem, South Amboy, NJ and Raymond Klem of Mohnton; her grandson Patrick Cooney.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
