Howard G. Seitzinger
Howard G. Seitzinger , 71, Frackville, passed away suddenly Thursday afternoon at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Born in Frackville, he was a son of the late Lewis R. and Margaret (Jenkins) Seitzinger. Howard worked most of his life in the garment industry but most recently worked as a maintenence man for the North Schuylkill Elementary School.
Howard was a SGT with the United States Air Force, having served during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the Frackville Elks BPOE #1533. He loved spending time with his wife and family, going to breakfast with his buddy Terry Price and enjoyed going fishing with his son, son-in-law and grandchildren. He was a ferocious competitor at horseshoes, aka " The Ringer ".
He was preceded in death by two brothers: John and Lewis Seitzinger and two sisters: Thelma Shoup and Naomi Caton.
Howard is survived by his wife Darlene M. (Polega) Seitzinger with whom he would have celebrated fifty years of marriage in April; his son Howie and his wife Sandra Seitzinger, Kulpmont and his daughter Christina and her husband Rich Korn, Gordan; his brother Herbert "Herb" and his wife Lenore Seitzinger, Frackville and his sister Jeanette Raulerson of Titusville, FL; his four grandchildren: Richard and Ryan Korn, Trevor Seitzinger, and Teresa Snyder; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services, with full military honors, will take place on Friday February 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
