Helen G. Shadel

Helen G. Shadel of Leesport, former Frackville resident, died Friday morning at her residence.

Born in Ashland she was a daughter of the late John and Mary " Frisch " Schreffler. She was a graduate of Ashland High School, class of 1940.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond J. Shadel on Jan. 27, 2004, a daughter Susan Macheese and a brother Robert Schreffler.

Helen is survived by her daughter Betty wife of Vincent DeNunzio, Leesport, three grandchildren; Steven Wikle, Michael and Leann Macheese, a brother Jack Schreffler, and a sister Betty Miller both of Ashland., nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Walter Harris officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service.
