Helen Kost

Helen Kost , Frackville, died early Thursday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian, Pottsville.

Born in Frackville she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Lahutsky. She had been employed at the former Ashland State General Hospital in the housekeeping department.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville and was a U S Navy veteran of WW II.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Kost in 1970 and her son George J. in 2005.

Helen is survived by two sons Michael Kost, Frackville and Jeff Kost, Harrisburg, her daughter Kathy wife of Edward Stetts, Frackville, two grand-daughters Amy and Trisha Stetts, a brother Nicholas Lahutsky, Delaware, also nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. J. Michael Beers, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Friends may call at the funeral home saturday morning from 9:30 until time of service.
