Helen Kosh

Helen Kosh , 100, lifelong Frackville resident, died Wednesday night at Golden Living Center, Phoenixville.

Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Feodor and Mary Dziakun Marham (Marhin). She had been employed for several years, as a sewing machine operator at the former Model Garment factory, Frackville and later for the Charles Rabin factory.

She was a lifetime member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville and a charter member of Frackville Area Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband V. Walter Kosh on Sept. 6, 1976, also by five brothers and three sisters. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Helen is survived by her son Ronald W. and his wife JoAnne Kosh, West Chester, her daughter Patricia K. Follansbee, Washington D.C., seven grandchildren; Karen Goddard, Lynn Ratnavale, Pamela Conroy, Mark Follansbee, Nicole Kosh, Tamara Newell and LT. Gregory Kosh, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Panakhyda services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Burial service will be at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, with Very Rev. Archpriest John Fields as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. with parastas at 7:30.
