, 86, of Frackville, died Tuesday morning , December 4, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Girardville, July 4, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Mark and Helen " Maurer " Fetter.
She graduated from Nathan Providence High School in Chester, Pa. She resided there with her brother Ralph, after her mother died of cancer , when Helen was 16. After graduation she resided with her brother Russ Fetter, where she was employed as his dental assistant.
She was married in the First Methodist Church in Berwick and then resided with her husband in Pittsburgh for one year.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Frackville, Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 484 in Frackville. Helen was an avid golfer and bowler and member of afternoon delights of the Plaza Lanes bowling league, Pottsville.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; Russell M. DDS and Ralph E. Fetter, her sister Jean Fetter and her great-grand-daughter Jessica Dunleavy.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 65 years William C. Dunleavy, her son, William D. husband of Susan Schultz-Dunleavy, Oberlin, PA, her daughter Karen A. wife of Jack Spieles, Frackville, eight grandchildren, twenty-six great-granchildren, nieces and nephews and her faithful dog Andy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Sue Ketterer, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Frackville, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Family prefers contributions, in Helen's name, be made to the Memorial Fund of the First United Methodist Church, 25 S. Balliet St. Frackville, PA, 17931.
