Grace E. Palina , 78, of Frackville passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 3rd surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late John and Martha (Flickenger) Brecker. She worked as a seamstress in the local garment factories before working for Hollander Sleep Products until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Palina; her brothers: John Reing and Joe Andrewsky; her sisters: Rose Brecker and Robin Brecker.
Grace was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Frackville where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years.
Grace was a hardworking, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. She was the biggest fan of her grandchildren's sporting events, proudly cheering them on from the sidelines with unmatched enthusiasm. Whether it was a game-winning play or just a regular season match, she never missed a chance to show her support.
Some of her happiest moments were spent baking with her granddaughter, creating sweet treats and even sweeter memories together. She also loved spending time at her daughter, Renee's hair salon, where she enjoyed chatting with friends, sharing stories, and filling the room with her laughter and warmth.
A lifelong admirer of Elvis Presley, Grace could often be found listening to his music, which always brought a smile to her face and a song to her heart.
Grace is survived by her daughter Renee Palina and her husband Jim Flail of Frackville; her brother, Barry Brecker, Gordon; her sister, Ruth Brecker, Frackville; her grandchildren: Shane Flail, Kody (Gladys) Flail, Gianna (Landon) Rickert, Joey Flail, Derek (Anna) Flail and Christopher Flail; her great-grandchildren: Karter, Kevin, and Celine Grace; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8th from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Frackville.
