Gerald Canfield

Gerald " Jerry" Canfield , 67, Of Shenandoah Heights passed away peacefully Monday morning at his residence with his family at his side.

Born in Pottsville he was a son of the late Patrick and Catherine ( Dillon ) Canfield. He was of the Catholic Faith.

He had worked as the caretaker of Annunciation Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, then was employed, for several years, by Wenco Windows, until his retirement.

He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 25 years the former Sharon McCole, his three daughters; Wendy wife of Anthony Kowalick, Amanda wife of Scott Karenda and April Canfield and her fiancé Mike Williams, his grandchildren; Bella Karenda, Kyden and Kolby Kowalick, his sisters ; Kathleen Kelly and Pat Gries, also by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Scripture service will be held at 1 p.m with Rev. Ron Minner, officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
