Francis J. Vernusky

Francis J. Vernusky passed away at age eighty-three on Monday, August 28, 2023, with family by his side.

Frank was born in Shenandoah, PA, on October 22, 1939. He was a tradesman, having graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College as a machinist. Using those skills, he was employed by Zapata Industries for most of his career.

A musician by hobby, he played accordion and was in the 'The Dots' polka band for a time. Additionally, he found himself outdoors often, being a hunter and an avid fisherman for much of his life.

Frank was a devoted husband of 59 years to his wife Ann. He is survived by Ann and their two children: Dr Frank Vernusky and his partner, Gay Baker; and Cathy Crawford and her partner, Orlando Varona. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Caylah Crawford, Reggie Crawford, and Alizée Varona; in addition to nieces and nephews and other family who will miss him dearly.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
