Obituary

Francis T. " Coylie " Coyle Sr.

He had quite a ride through his 76 years on this earthly plane. Then, in the midst of October splendor and just before sunset, on October 16, 2014, beloved husband and father Francis Thomas " Coylie " Coyle Sr. left the loving circle of wife and children to return to the Lord.

Born in the former Locust Mountain Hospital he was a son of the late Patrick J. and Eleanor ( Shearn ) Coyle. He was raised in Lost Creek and later in Girardville. He had been employed by Penn Dot , for over 30 years, as a State Highway Construction Inspector.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville. He was a 1956 graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School, Girardville. He was a member of the Good Fellowship Club, Ashland and American Legion Post # 398, Frackville, he had served his country for 6 years in the US Army Reserves.

He will be well remembered for his Irish wit and stories as well as his love of family, home, companion dogs, cookouts, camping and football.

He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Dooling.

His greatest happiness was the half century he spent with his wife the former Andrea E. ( Gladsky ) and raising his sons; Patrick and his wife Heather, Frank Jr. and his wife Joelle and Michael, his grandchildren; Holden, Rylan, Nickolas, Brandon and Kailee, also surviving is his brother Patrick Coyle, his sisters; Virginia and her husband Charles Wood, Janet McDonald, Mary Catherine Goodman, Eleanor and her husband Frank McCarvey and Jackie Isherwood, his sister-in-law Marcia and her husband Gus Esquibel also by several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial for Coylie will be con-celebrated at 10 a. m on Tuesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville, by his cousin Msgr. Edward Coyle and Rev. Robert T. Finlan, pastor. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. with scripture service at 7:45.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Coylie's name, to the Hillside SPCA, Hillside Road, Pottsville, PA17901.
