Evelyn A. Madden

Evelyn A. "Sissy" Madden , 78 of Girardville passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 19th surrounded by her family.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Isabelle Yenetskie Olanich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Stephanie Novotny and Melissa Olanich.

Evelyn is survived by her two daughters: Jocelyn Edwards and her husband Chris, Gordon; Liza Ulceski and her husband Brandon, Aristes; her brother Peter Olanich and his wife Tina; her sister, Susie Holiday and her husband Bill; her loving grandchildren: Mason, Dylan, Brayden, Landin, Easton, Madden and Rocco; many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was a hardworking mother and caring grandmother. She worked as a waitress for Granny's Restaurant, Frackville and May's Drive-In Restaurant, Ashland. She also worked as a cook for Marrone's Cafe in Girardville.

She enjoyed trips to the casino and was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
