Emil Chuposka
, 81, Maizeville passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside Saturday night at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson St., Pottsville.
Born in Gilberton he was a son of the late John and Nancy ( Krolick ) Chuposka. He was a self-employed strip mining operator for his entire life until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville and a US Marine veteran of the Korean war. Emil's world revolved around his wife and family. He had a passion for coal, loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Robin Chuposka and four sisters: Mary Lynch, Ruth Chuposka, Olga Allen and Rita Scarbinsky.
Emil is survived by his wife of 58 years Dorothy A. ( Terry ) Chuposka, his four daughters; Cheryl Boxer, Maizeville, Rhonda Luettgen and her companion Rick Geist, Shenandoah Heights, Teri Conroy, Maizeville and Tracy wife of Brian Dillman, Frackville, his grandchildren: Jennifer ( Ryan ) Scott, Eric ( Holly ) Boxer, Matthew Conroy, Ciara Luettgen, Jordan ( Krystal ) Boxer, Tyler Kegolis, Corrin Kegolis, Ryan Conroy, Andrew Luettgen, Aaron Kegolis, Cassidy Conroy and Brett Dillman, his great-grandchildren; Dominik, Sara, Robyn, Grayson, Lucas, Max and another great-grandchild on the way, his two brothers; Russell Chuposka, Maizeville and George Chuposka, Syracuse, NY, his two sisters; Theresa Travis, Vista, CA and Patricia Ritsko, Frackville also by several nieces and nephews.
Panakhyda service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev, Roman Pitula, pastor, officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m., with parastas at 7 p.m., and on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
