Elizabeth M. Ruschak

Elizabeth " Bette " M. Ruschak,  of Frackville, fell asleep in the Lord with her family by her side, on Friday afternoon at her residence.

Born in St. Clair she was a daughter of the late John and Theresa " Goblick " Kanish. She had been employed as a seamstress at Mark's manufacturing, Frackville, until her retirement in 1975.

She wasa member of Holy Ascension Russian Orthodox Church, Frackville.

Bette's favorite pass time was her trips to the casinos to visit her favorite slot machines and cooking for her two beloved companions.

She was preceded in death by her husband John on November 21, 1990 and her brother John "Sonny" Kanish in 1978.

Bette is survived by her son John Ruschak and her daughter Cheryl Ruschak, both of Frackville, her sister Theresa wife of Joe Volosky, Tresckow, her two devoted puppies; Strawberry and Mistyto, also by nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Panakyhda service will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:30 from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Funeral service,  for Bette , will be at 11 a.m. in Holy Ascension Russian Orthodox Church, Frackville, with Very Rev. Archpriest James Jadick, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. with Parastas at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:30 until time of service.
