Elizabeth “Betty” Antalosky, 79, of Frackville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5th, at Providence Place, Pine Grove.
Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Roberts) Kieres. Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frackville. She worked as a correctional officer at Schuylkill County Prison until her retirement.
Betty had a love for music and enjoyed spending time at the casino. She also cherished camping trips and vacations to Ocean City, where she and her husband especially enjoyed crabbing and clamming.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Antalosky.
She is survived by her son, Russell Antalosky and his wife, Kelly, of Frackville; her daughter, Melissa Swatt and her husband, Kevin, of Valley View; her brother, Albert Kieres and his wife, Peggy, of Manada Hill; and her two sisters, Donna Coombe of Ohio and Gwen Holden and her husband, Tim, of St. Clair. Betty is also survived by her two grandchildren, Ethan and Alana, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 10th, at 12:00 Noon from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment with committal services will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 15, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to a local animal rescue organization.
