Edward J. Armon Jr.
Edward J. " Cookie " Armon Jr. , 69, Frackville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday at his residence with his faithful dog Cooper at his side.
Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Edward and Violet ( Bernatonis ) Armon. He had been employed as a machinist for Omnova Solutions, Auburn, until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Frackville.
Ed was a US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. He loved seeing his granddaughters play soccer and teaching his daughters softball growing up. He enjoyed seeing the Jersey Boys with his family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother John Armon.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Carol ( Pretko ) Armon, three daughters; Christine wife of Daniel Lavrich, Birdsboro, Cynthia wife of Michael Stith, Pasadena, MD and Carolyn Ward also of Pasadena, MD, his two grandchildren; Abigail and Ashley Lavrich.
Scripture Service for Cookie will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Robert T. Finlan officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at 3 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
