Dorothy E. Rader

Dorothy E.  Nahas Rader , Girardville, longtime Frackville resident, died peacefully Tuesday evening with her family by her side at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian Street.

Born in Frackville she was a daughter of the late Elias and Elizabeth " Haddad " Nahas. She was the owner of Dorothy's Beauty Shop, Frackville, until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville, where she was very active in numerous parish activities. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. James and was a member of the catholic daughters bowling league. Dot was a judge of elections in Frackville for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Wilbur " Wib " Rader in 2000, a son Ron Rader, 2011 a brother James Nahas, 1982 and a sister Sara Welikonich, 2011.

She is survived by two sons Lou and his wife Patrice Rader, Ashland and Bob and his wife Judy Rader, Pottsville, her daughter-in-law Louann Rader, Ringtown, a brother Bob Nahas, NYC, NY five sisters; Marie Hayek, VA, Rose Matthews, Easton. Dale Matern, Frackville, Joan Griffin, Morristown, NJ and Helene Nahas, Frackville also by five grandchildren; Tim and his wife Melisa Rader, Mike and his wife Heather Rader, Tom, Ryan and Lindsay Rader, two great-grandchildren, Michael and Casey Rader, several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Robert Finlan, pastor as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the church Friday morning from 9:30 until time of mass. There will be no viewing on Thursday evening.

The family prefers contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made, in Dorothy's name, to the memorial fund of St. Joseph's Church, Nice and Frack Sts., Frackville, PA 17931.
