Debra A. Butler

Debra A. Butler , 64, Girardville passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at her residence.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of Joseph Subick Port Charles, FL and the late Katie McHale Subick.

She was a 1977 graduate of the former Cardinal Brennan High School and was a CNA working in the healthcare industry until retiring in 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael S. Butler and by two sons Harry and Michael Butler.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her son Shawn and his wife Shannon Butler, Frackville, her three daughters; Katherine Butler, Girardville, Angela ( Bill Joyce ) Butler, Girardville and Kelly Butler, West Milton; her step-mother, Margaret Subick, Girardville; one brother Joseph Subick, Girardville and three sisters: Ann Subick, Fountain Springs, Lisa wife of Heath Ressler, Girardville and Tracey wife of Bill Picht, New Ringgold. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren whom she loved deeply; Kaley, Amanda, William, Kolton, Abigail, Shawn, Shane, Bradlee, Irelynn, Cody, Blake, Madison, Grace, Harrison, Tanner, Hunter, Spencer and Ava; her nieces; Jamie, Courtney, Larissa and Danielle; a nephew, Shawn; her cousin Stephanie wife of Pete Kleeman and by several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville, with Rev. Brian Miller officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions to help defray funeral expenses.
