Darlene M. Seitzinger

Darlene M. Seitzinger , 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville and was reunited with the love of her life Howard Seitzinger.

Born in Sheppton she was a daughter of the late Paul and Helen Labuda Polega. She had been employed as a cashier for Boyer's Markets, Frackville, for 43 years until her retirement in 2016. Known as the " singing cashier" customers always knew when Darlene was working because of her singing.

Darlene was a lifelong resident of Frackville until moving with her daughter and son-in-law in Gordon. She was a loving mother and doting grandmother. Darlene will always be remembered as a kind soul who enjoyed reading, sitting outside, family gatherings and singing while being shadowed by her faithful sidekick Sammy Joe.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Seitzinger in 2016.

Darlene is survived by her son Howie and his wife Sandy Seitzinger, Kulpmont, her daughter with whom she resided Christina and her husband Rich Korn, Gordon, her cousin Carol Hastings, NC and herlifelong friend and sister-in-law Lenore Seitzinger, her grandchildren; Richard and Ryan Korn, Trevor Seitzinger, Teresa Snyder, Serenity. She is also survived by her good friend and caretaker Annabelle Price.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Darlene's name, be made to the Alzheimers Association.
