Clarke E. Brown

Clarke E. Brown , 87, former Frackville and Pottsville resident, died peacefully Saturday at the Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Allentown he was a son of the late Charles and Fern " Greenawalt " Brown. He had been employed as a loan officer for the former Motor Loans in Pottsville.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Pottsville.

Clarke was an Army veteran of WW II having served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a member of Pulaski Lodge # 216, F&AM, Pottsville, the Bloomsburg Consistory and Frackville Elks Lodge # 1533.

He was preceded in death by his wife the former Lottie " Withers " Brown in 2002.

He is survived by a cousin Barbra Berger, Emmaus and by several neighbors and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. James Fidler, pastor of Trinity UCC Church officiating. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
