Clara C. Petri

Clara C. Petri , Frackville, died early Sunday morning at her residence with her family by her side.

Born in Gilberton she was a daughter of the late William and Alva " Shadel " Chappell. She was a seamstress having been employed, for several years, at the former Charles Rabin factory and later at the City Shirt factory, Morea, until her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Frackville.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; Walter and William Chappell and a sister Mae Smarkowsky.

Clara is survived by her husband of 58 years Maynard J Petri., her daughter Lisa wife of Ralph Wittig, Frackville, two sisters; Grace Timmins, Pottstown and June Vargo, Frackville, three grandsons; Chad Wittig, Whitehall, Keith Wittig and John and his wife Elizabeth Wittig, both of Frackville, two great grand-daughters; Madeline and Sophia Wittig, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. George Drupp, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Odd Fellows cemetery, Frackville.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service.
