Claire S. Dura , 93, Frackville passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18th at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Victoria Kacelowicz. She worked as a seamstress at the former Model Garment Factory, Frackville until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Dura Sr.; her son, Stephen M. Dura and a son-in-law, John C. Murphy.
Claire is survived by her two daughters: Darlene "Enie" Murphy, Harrisburg; Sharon and her husband Brenton Hake, Lancaster; her sister, Theresa Harkins, Shenandoah; her grandchildren: Michael (Alva) Dura, Matt (Ana) Dura, Mark Dura, Emily(Franklin) Massie, Adam (Allie) Hake, Patrick and Timothy Murphy; her great-grandchildren: Hailey, Frances, Hugo, Whit and Pearl; nieces and nephews.
Claire's family thanks the loving and dedicated staff at both Luther Ridge at Seiders Hill, Pottsville and Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 25th at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (St. Ann's Church) 49 N. Line Street Frackville with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will follow in Holy Ascension Orthodox Cemetery, Frackville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made, in Claire's name, to St. Joseph the Worker Parish at 7 S. Broad Mountain Avenue Frackville, PA 17931
