Christine A. Barnes

Christine A. Barnes , a guest of Trinity Mission Nursing Center, Shenandoah  Heights,formerly of 104 Third St. Girardville, passed away Monday morning at the center.

Born in Shenandoah she was a daughter of the late Michael and Stasia " Kugris " Zugzda.

She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Girardville. She was a 1961 graduate of the former Girardville High School. Prior to her marriage she had been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Barnes on Nov. 5, 2000 and also by her infant brother Joseph.

Christine is survived by her sister Stasia wife of Charles Hull, Pottsville, a nephew Joseph Hull, Austin TX., and a niece Megan Hull, Pottsville.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Girardville, with Rev. Edward B. Connolly, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.

There will be no public viewing.
