Charles C. McElhenny , 96, Frackville passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17 th at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in Morea, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Mary Hawk McElhenny. Charles was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, the American Legion Post 398 and the Elks BPOE 1533, all of Frackville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers William and John McElhenny.
Charles is survived by his cousin and caretaker, Lisa Paletskie of Morea along with numerous cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 21 st at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (St. Ann's Church) 49 N. Line Street, Frackville with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends are invited to his viewing at the church on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Canicus Cemetery, Mahanoy City.
