Charles J. Barry

Charles J. " Chuck " Barry, 65, Girardville, died unexpectedly Monday after arrival at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson St.

Born in Mahanoy Plane he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna E. ( Grumm ) Barry.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Girardville. He was employed at Mazz's Corner Cafe for over 16 years.

He was a graduate of the former Girardville High School and received his degree in accounting from Mcann School of Business. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam War.

Chuck was a member of Frackville Elks Lodge # 1533, Frackville American Legion Post #398 and a social member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Jack Kehoe Division 1, Girardville. Chuck was an avid Penn State and Washington Redskins fan.

He is survived by several cousins and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville, with Rev. Mindy Heppe, officiating. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.
