Carole Sagan RN

Carole Sagan, RN , 71, Frackville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening at her home.

Born in the former Ashland Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary ( Kuchta ) Sagan.

She was a member of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville. She was a graduate of Frackville High School, Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing and received her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Penn State University.

Carole had been employed as a teacher, for several years, at Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing and was last employed as an RN with the Pa. Department of Health, Pottsville, until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by two sisters; Suzanne Sagan and Lynn Chrush.

She is survived by her sister Marie, wife of Peter Weremedic, Frackville, her two brothers; Nicholas and his wife Barbara Sagan, Laurel, MD and Theodore and his wife Jeanette Sagan, Saint Clair also by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews who were the loves of her life.

Panakhyda Service will be held at 9:30, Monday, from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville, with Very Revs. James Jadick, Paul Ropitsky and James Weremedic, officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. with Parastas at 7 p.m. and on Monday morning from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer contributions, in Carole's name, to the Memorial Fund of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, 209 S. Lehigh Ave, Frackville, PA 17931.
