Blanche M. Saldukas , 97, formerly of Frackville, passed away peacefully Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Lenore, in Easton, with her family by her side.
Born in Frackville she was a daughter of the late Charles and Carrie James Lindemuth. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Frackville, and the second oldest member of the church.
Along with her husband Leonard they owned and operated the former Saldukas Jewelry Store in Frackville and she was a waitress at the Frackville Elks for several years.
Blanche will always be remembered as a kind, loving, sweet, generous person who never complained and always had a Thank You for everyone. Her family always came first and she enjoyed nothing more than to be involved in all her families events.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Leonard J. in 2012, her brother Charles Lindemuth and her sister Mildred Miller Kateusz.
Blanche is survived by her three daughters; Diane wife of Ronald DeLuca, Myerstown, Linda wife of Walter Payne, Lansdale and Lenore Fritz, with whom she resided, Easton, her four grandchildren; Brian and Jared Fritz, Corbin and his wife Mecan Reille Payne and Tanner Payne. L oving and devoted nieces Karen Miller Leisner, Nancy Miller Bowman and nephew William Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 56 N. Balliet St., Frackville, with Rev. Michael Brown, officiating. Interment will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from Noon until time of service.
