Obituary
Mrs. Betty J. Rector, 74, of 22 S. Chestnut St., Shenandoah, passed
away Friday at Saint Catherine Medical Center Fountain Springs.
Born in Frackville, May 19, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Elsie Lord Robbins.
She worked in the local garment industry.
She belonged to the American Legion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave; sons, Kevin, in 2004, and Ronald, in 2009; a daughter, Cheryl Swabb, in 2008; and brothers, John, Earl, Alfred and Thomas.
Surviving are a daughter, Joann Myers, Shenandoah; a son, David Rector, Umatilla, Fla.; sisters, Ethel Backo, Morea, Dorothy Baker, Frackville, and Joan Rodgers, Hamburg; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Frackville, where a white dove will be released in her memory.
