Barbara L. Bauer

Barbara L. Bauer , 83, Schuylkill Haven, former Frackville resident died peacefully Sunday at Rest Haven.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Herbert J. and Jane (Thompson) Frew. She was a corporate secretary in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton OH.

She was a 1949 graduate of the former Frackville High School and had attended Drexel University in Philadelphia. Barbara loved art, music and dance and had been a dance instructor, in classical ballroom dancing, for Arthur Murray Studios.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Frackville.

She was preceded in death by a sister Jane Harkavy and a nephew Harvey C. Cresswell Jr..

Barbara is survived by her son Thomas Bauer, Schuylkill Haven, her granddaughters: Tabitha and Heidi Bauer, her sister Norma Cresswell, Pottsville and her niece Cherie Roberts, her nephew Michael Harkavy and family and her great-niece Alexandra Trexler.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m.noon on Saturday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Sue Ketterer officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
