Anne Carduff Bramley of Frackville, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, surrounded with love in the final months of her 87 years by the children, grandchildren, brothers and sister she had cared for and served her entire life.

Born in West Mahanoy Township, April 16, 1930, she was the third daughter and the seventh of 10 children born to a coal miner, Jeremiah Byrne, and his wife, Kathleen Kelly Byrne.

She grew up in the Brownsville "patch" and graduated from West Mahanoy Township High School in 1947.

She loved to golf and, in her later years, to watch and critique the pros on TV. She enjoyed the occasional trip to a casino, but her first love always was spending time with and helping family and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by two husbands: David Carduff of Girardville in 1972, and William "Art" Bramley, Orwigsburg, in 1993; also, by brothers James, Jack, Jerry, Paul and David, and by her sister, Kathryn Dougherty.

She is also survived by two brothers, William Byrne of Girardville and Vincent Byrne and wife, Marilyn, of Mascoutah, Ill.; by her sister, Margaret Devanney of Shenandoah, and her sister-in-law, Barbara Byrne, Ringtown. Ten grandchildren: Megan, Joseph and Michael Horan, and Michael's wife, Stephanie; Kelly Scheese and husband, Michael; Erin Anderson and husband, Ryan; David Carduff and wife, Crystal; J.P. and Danny Petrilla; Rachel Lanier and husband, Brandon, and Charlotte Sachetti. Ten great-grandchildren: Annie and Molly Scheese; Ashton Fisher and Brady and Kyran Horan; Mary and Lucy Anderson; McKenna Carduff; Caden and Jace Lanier; also, 17 nieces and nephews.
