Anna Bobiak

Anna ( Anne ) Bobiak , 95, Gilberton, passed away peacefully Friday at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab Center, Bangor.

Born in Gilberton she was a daughter of the late Peter and Stella Stefero Burock. She had been employed by Shulton Incorporated, Clifton, NJ until her retirement.

She had been She was a member of St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Joseph Bobiak Sr. in 1983, four brothers; Frank, Pete, Steve and Andy Burock and by two sisters; Nellie Bowker and Mary Burock.

Anna is survived by her two sons; Ron and his wife Judy Bobiak, Wantage, NJ and Joseph and his wife Carol Bobiak, Stroudsburg, four grandchildren; Lesley-Anne, Jennifer, Andrew and Tara, four great-grandchildren; Allan, Valerie, Isabela and Nathaniel, her brother Russell and his wife Theresa Burock, Center Valley also by several nieces and nephews.

Panakhyda service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Divine liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic church, Maizeville, with Rev. Archpriest John Fields, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. with parastas at 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 8:30 until time of service
