Ann J. Lech
Ann J. Lech , 98, lifelong resident of Frackville, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord Monday afternoon at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Tiofil and Zubuts (Kinder) Shelcusky. Mrs. Lech and her husband Stanley owned and operated Lech's café, Mahanoy City for 26 years until their retirement in 1975.
Ann was a member of St. John the Baptist Polish National Church, Frackville. She was also a member of the Frackville Area Senior Citizens, where she enjoyed partaking in their many trips. She also enjoyed her shopping trips to Boscov's.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Stanley A. Lech in 1986; a daughter, Joanne B. Nice; 3 sisters: Blanche Alansky, Lottie Bushkie, Tiofil Lash and one brother Joseph Kinder.
She is survived by her son Stanley C., husband of Marian J. Lech, Frackville; 3 grandsons: Winn R. Nice, Cresswell Gardens, Joshua M. Lech and Jason R. Lech, both of Frackville; a granddaughter, Wendy L. Toplak, Baden; also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from St. John the Baptist Polish National Church, Frackville, with Rev. Robert Plicta, pastor, celebrating. Interment will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville. Friends may call at the church Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of mass.
