Ann Kuzio , 89, lifelong resident of Frackville, passed away peacefully at the home of her son Stephen on Monday afternoon surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Stella Kurdy Damiter. She worked as a seamstress for the former Model Garment Factory in Frackville until her retirement.
Ann was a devout member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville where she volunteered for over 70 years. She also volunteered her time for Birthright in Frackville and was a member of the Frackville Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Steven Kuzio in 2003; her three brothers: Eli, Peter and John Damiter.
Ann is survived by her son Stephen and his wife Beatrice Kuzio, Ashland; her sister Evelyn Miller, New Philadelphia; her two grandsons: Stephen Michael and his wife Rhonda Kuzio, Frackville and Christopher Kuzio, Ashland; her great grandsons, Nicholas, Kyan, Logan as well as her best friend and the "apple of her eye" great granddaughter, Abigail Rose; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Petro Zvarych, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends may call at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning with Parastas at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in Ann's name, to the memorial fund of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church at 243 S. Middle Street Frackville, PA 17931.
